6 months old!!!

Ava is 6 months old now, and it has flown by!

She weighed in at 18lbs 3 oz (Miles was 19lbs at 6mo), is 27 in tall (Miles- 28 1/2). Though we have a return of the reflux she is on a new med and is happily enjoying solid food!

She is sitting up by herself and talking up a storm. she tries to make you laugh by doing this crazy growling, grunting noise, and is just an overall happy girl! She adores her big brother and the feeling is definitely mutual. Miles can consistently make her belly laugh like no one else and is so helpful in making sure Ava is well taken care of! We couldn't ask for 2 better kids!

Here's an updated look at her progression in pictures!

Miles' 5th Birthday Party!!!

We had Miles birthday party a bit early this year so that family could come down and join us. Months ago he said he wanted a magician birthday, so we got Bryan Lizotte to come and entertain the kids. He was wonderful and really engaged everyone no matter how big or small! Miles had a great time with his friends and even got some magic in his wand to do a trick with Bryan!

Miles and Mommy recently enjoyed a date to see Toy Story 3 and ever since he has wanted a "hard toy Buzz-Lightyear, like Nicky has." Not only did he get his wish, but a whole bunch of other Toy Story presents! He is one lucky little boy and so are we!

Miles and Ava's Baptism/Dedication Service

So we have been members of South Church for about a year and had decided we would get both kids baptized at the same time. Our church is a wonderful community of people who openly welcomed our entire family for the day and celebrated our kids with us! The service was wonderful and the kids behaved well. Afterwards we were fortunate to have all of our family join us at the house, and our friend Jean Molodetz come and take pictures of all the generations (visit her website to see them.. they are gorgeous, and she is incredibly talented!)

Here are the pics we got of the day!

Lots of catching up to do!!!

It has been very hectic around here with summer fun and two kids to chase after, so blogging has lagged behind a bit. So here are some of the pics you have missed... Enjoy!

April and Easter

Lots of things have happened since out last post! Mommy went back to work, which means Ava is going to "baby school." She is going to the Y with Miles and is a favorite with the girls there! She is such a good baby for them and we know she is in good hands. We eased her in starting with a visit with Mommy and worked up to leaving her for the whole day on Thursday. There were no tears (from mommy or Ava)! Miles and Daddy got to have a "Daddy Day" and spend a whole day just the two of them exploring (and also at the auto shop- but that's a whole other story!).

We also headed to NH for Easter weekend. We spent Saturday at Nanna and Papa's house, and then Sunday at Grammy and Grumpa's. It was a gorgeous weekend and we got to have TWO Easter Egg Hunts outside. Miles did a much better job this year dying eggs and only colored himself minimally :o)

We've been having some great weather mixed in with some awful rain and cold. On the nice days we have gotten to go outside and play. Ava loves sitting outside and watching Miles play. Miles had gotten a pitching machine from Big Nanna and Nannu for Christmas and has been enjoying hitting some balls with Daddy.

Miles is such a great big brother as you will see in the video below. He loves to talk to Ava and make her smile and she just absolutely adores him. It is so cute and sweet to watch.

2 Months Old!!!

We had Ava's 2 month check up today, and as expected she is off the charts!!! 13lbs 15.5oz (14 lbs really), and she is 25 inches long! She is cooing and smiling and following faces and voices- all the things she is supposed to! She's also just as strong as her brother was at this age, holding her head steady when upright and even standing up on our legs! Jolly Jumper, here we come!

Todat we stopped in the infant room for a bit to star practicing for Thursday when Mommy has to go back to work. Ava will be fine (though Mommy will be a mess!), she took a bottle from one of her teachers and was looking around at all the noises from the other kids. Until the end of April she will be the youngest in her room, then another baby will join who was born 2 days before her.

This past weekend we hung out at home and also went to the Science Center in Hartford. Miles had a blast pretending to be a penguin, flying paper helicopters and playing in the water room. We'll have to go back since we dodn't see 2 floors worth of stuff! What a great place!

Enjoy the latest pictures!
